Congratulations! I completed the Pennine Way with my housemate earlier on this year as well, also in 19 days. We did this last section in 2 parts and so glad we did to be honest! Weather had turned against us at the end and whilst not raining, it was BITTERLY cold.

Worst two days were the first two. The Edale walk was hard and extremely windy. The second day just poured it down. We would have ended it there but we cheated and stayed the night in Marsden with friends. However after that, all of it was fantastic, until the coldness on the last day but we got into Kirk Yetholm and got our free half pint!

We did a mixture of campsites and youth hostels. Worked out nicely in the end. Would certainly recommend doing that as it meant we could have hot showers and a nice sit down in the hostels. Our next plan is to do the Cumbrian Way next summer.

You can check out my photos over here..

We stumbled across a rather large Tunnocks bar as well in a farm near Kirk Yetholm. Well worth the picture ;)
